To use the device, relax for at least 15 minutes before measuring your blood pressure. Slip the cuff over your left arm, extend your arm with the pump facing up, and tighten the cuff around your arm. Inflate the cuff, listen for the pulse beat, and note the reading on the gauge. Deflate the cuff slowly and read the gauge again to get your diastolic blood pressure.
