Roxid M Tablet is a prescription medicine that treats respiratory tract infection associated with excessive mucus (phlegm). It is a combination of two medicines: Roxithromycin and Ambroxol. Roxithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic that stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Ambroxol is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm) making it easier to cough out. Addition of Ambroxol enhances the antibacterial effect of Roxithromycin.
Directions for Use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Roxid M Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
