Tablet
Introduction
Rovor 20 Tablet is commonly used in patients with irregular heart rhythm (atrial fibrillation) to prevent clot formation. It also reduces the risk of getting clots in people who have undergone knee or hip replacement surgeries. It may be taken with or without food. Take it at the same time each day for maximum benefits. You may need to take this medicine for many years even for life in some cases. Do not stop taking it or change the dose without guidance from your doctor. It could quickly put you more at risk of having a heart attack, stroke, or thrombosis (formation of a blood clot within a blood vessel). You can reduce your risk of having a blood clot by making changes to your lifestyle such as not smoking, eating a healthy diet, getting regular exercise, and losing weight if you need to.
Directions for Use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Rovor 20 Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How it works
Rovor 20 Tablet is a novel oral anticoagulant (NOAC). It works by stopping a clotting factor called factor Xa from working. This helps prevent the formation of blood clots in the body.

Other side effects can be severe skin and allergic reactions, bruising, coughing up blood, bleeding from the skin or under the skin, and limb swelling and pain. Rovor 20 Tablet may increase bilirubin levels and decrease platelet counts. Some individuals may experience fainting episodes, a rapid heartbeat, and dry mouth. If you experience any side effects, immediately contact your doctor.
Is Rovor 20 Tablet a blood thinner?
Yes, Rovor 20 Tablet is a blood thinner. It works by preventing blood clotting within the blood vessels and preventing blood clots from recurring in those same areas. It may be prescribed to treat blood clots in the legs' veins and lungs' blood vessels.
Is Rovor 20 Tablet dangerous?
Rovor 20 Tablet can have many benefits, but it increases your risk of bleeding more than usual. Even minor injuries may cause excessive bleeding due to its effect on blood clotting. In severe cases, this drug could lead to serious bleeding that requires immediate medical attention. It's particularly important to be aware of this potential risk when Rovor 20 Tablet is used in combination with other blood thinning medications. If you notice any signs of bleeding, contact your doctor immediately.
What foods should you avoid if you are on blood thinners?
Grapefruit and grapefruit juice should not be consumed while taking Rovor 20 Tablet due to their potential interaction with the medication. Grapefruit contains compounds that slow down the metabolism of Rovor 20 Tablet and increase bleeding activity. If you're taking other blood thinners, such as warfarin, avoid foods that enhance vitamin K or increase blood clotting activity. These include spinach, brussel sprouts, mustard greens, broccoli, asparagus, and green tea. However, these foods are not restricted while using Rovor 20 Tablet.
