Introduction

The Rotahaler Device is designed for the inhalation of dry powder medications to manage lung-related conditions. Its primary purpose is to streamline the administration of inhaled medication, ensuring optimal dosage accuracy and user comfort. Compatible with Cipla rotacaps, this inhalation device simplifies the process by requiring the insertion of a Rotacap, which contains the drug powder, into the capsule chamber. Inhalation through the mouthpiece activates the device, automatically releasing the medication.

To use the Rotahaler Device, follow these steps: Hold the Rotahaler vertically and position the two halves of the Rotahaler such that the fin is not directly below the rotacap hole. Remove the rotacap from its bottle and insert it into the rotacap hole with its transparent end facing downwards. Hold the mouthpiece firmly with one hand and rotate the base. Breathe out fully and place the mouthpiece of the Rotahaler between your teeth. Close your lips tightly around it, tilt your head slightly backward, and breathe in through the mouth rapidly and deeply. Hold your breath for 10 seconds or for as long as you are comfortable and then breathe out normally.

The Rotahaler Device is a breath-actuated device that automatically releases the medication when the user inhales. The device is pre-metered and provides a single, fixed dose of medication through each capsule that is discarded after each use.
