How it works
Ronec MR Tablet is a combination of a muscle relaxant (Chlorzoxazone) and two pain relieving medicines (Diclofenac and Paracetamol). The muscle relaxant works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm, thereby improving movement of muscles. The pain relieving medicines work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation.

Frequently asked questions
What is Ronec MR Tablet?
Ronec MR Tablet contains Diclofenac, Paracetamol, and Chlorzoxazone, all working together to relieve muscle pain. Chlorzoxazone acts on the central nervous system as a muscle relaxant. Diclofenac and Paracetamol work by reducing prostaglandins in the body, which cause pain and inflammation.
Is Ronec MR Tablet safe?
Ronec MR Tablet is generally safe for most patients. However, some may experience side effects like nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, dry mouth, weakness, sleepiness, and other rare or uncommon side effects. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience persistent problems related to the medication.
Can I stop taking Ronec MR Tablet when my pain is relieved?
Ronec MR Tablet should be continued only under your doctor's advice and for the prescribed duration. If you are using it for short-term pain relief, it may be discontinued once the pain subsides.
Can Ronec MR Tablet cause nausea and vomiting?
Yes, Ronec MR Tablet can cause nausea and vomiting in some patients. If you experience nausea while taking this medicine, consider taking it with milk, food, or antacids. Avoid fatty or fried foods alongside this medication. In case of vomiting, drink plenty of water or other fluids by taking small frequent sips. Consult your doctor if vomiting persists and you notice signs of dehydration like dark-colored urine and infrequent urination. Never take any other medicine without talking to your doctor.
Can Ronec MR Tablet cause dizziness?
Yes, Ronec MR Tablet can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady, or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy, rest for a moment and resume your activities only after feeling better.
Can long-term use of Ronec MR Tablet damage my kidneys?
Long-term use of Ronec MR Tablet can potentially damage your kidneys. This is because normal kidneys produce prostaglandins to protect them from damage. The use of painkillers lowers these prostaglandins, leading to kidney damage over time. It's not recommended to use painkillers for patients with pre-existing kidney diseases.
Is it safe to take a higher dose than the prescribed amount?
Taking a higher dose of Ronec MR Tablet can increase the risk of side effects. If you experience increased pain or if your pain isn't relieved by the recommended dosage, consult your doctor for a re-evaluation.
How should I store Ronec MR Tablet?
Keep this medicine in its original container tightly closed and store it according to the instructions mentioned on the packaging label. Do not consume leftover medication and ensure that it is not accessible to pets, children, or other people.
