How it works
Renicol Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines: Chloramphenicol and Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth in the eye. It does so by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is a lubricant similar to natural tears. It provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort in the eye.
Quick Tips
Renicol Eye Drop must be used as per dose and duration suggested by the doctor. If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before putting in these eye drops and wait at least 15 minutes before putting your lenses back in. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution. Renicol Eye Drop might cause blurring of vision. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how medicine affects you. Avoid contact with your nose or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the drop in these areas.
