Relip Oral Suspension is a combination of four medicines: Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Phenylephrine, Paracetamol, and Sodium Citrate. It relieves symptoms such as runny nose, cough, sneezing, watery eyes, sore throat, body ache, and fever. This medication is commonly prescribed in children to treat these symptoms.
Relip Oral Suspension may make your child feel sleepy. Ensure your child takes extra care when taking part in physical activities. Never combine Relip Oral Suspension with other cold and flu medicines as that may lead to side effects.
Relip Oral Suspension is a combination of four medicines: Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Phenylephrine, Paracetamol, and Sodium Citrate. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic that relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and an antipyretic (fever reducer). Sodium citrate is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm) making it easier to cough out.
Ensure your child takes extra care when taking part in physical activities Never combine Relip Oral Suspension with other cold and flu medicines Stop Relip Oral Suspension and immediately report to the doctor if your child develops an itchy rash, facial swelling, or breathing difficulties Practice self-care tips: clean and disinfect surfaces after sneezing and coughing, give your child plenty of fluids, restrain your child from having caffeinated products and foods that are spicy and fried, make your child gargle with warm saltwater, and ensure your child takes enough rest
Taking more than the recommended dose of Relip Oral Suspension can lead to serious side effects, including seizures, rapid heartbeat, depression, cognitive problems, and difficulty concentrating. Always use the calibrated cup provided with the medicine to ensure the correct dosage.
It's essential to inform your doctor about any other medications your child is taking before starting Relip Oral Suspension. Additionally, consult with your child's doctor before giving any new medicines to your child.
Relip Oral Suspension should not be given to children with certain medical conditions, including cardiovascular disease (hypertension or heart disease), diabetes mellitus, gastrointestinal obstruction, increased intraocular pressure, urinary obstruction, or thyroid dysfunction. Inform your doctor about your child's medical history before administering the medicine.
Do not give your child more than one cough or cold medicine without consulting their doctor first. Taking multiple medications with similar ingredients can lead to an overdose, causing serious consequences.
Never administer adult-strength cough medicines to children. Instead, use medications specifically formulated for children, and follow the recommended dosage instructions carefully. If your child's symptoms persist or worsen despite treatment, consult their doctor.
Relip Oral Suspension may cause mild drowsiness in some children. Avoid using it to induce sleep, as this could mask underlying sleep disorders like insomnia. Consult with your child's doctor before giving the medicine.
Store Relip Oral Suspension at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Also, keep all medicines out of reach and sight of children to prevent accidental intake.
