Rekin Gel is a pain-relieving medicine used to treat moderate to severe pain in conditions such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Gel
Rekin Gel is a combination of five medicines: Aceclofenac, Linseed Oil, Methyl Salicylate, Menthol, and Capsaicin Based Rubefacients. It is used for pain relief. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation. Linseed Oil decreases swelling through its anti-inflammatory properties. Methyl Salicylate and Menthol are topical analgesics (pain relievers) that work by first cooling the skin then warming it up. This cooling and warming up action interferes with the pain signal transmission through nerves. Capsaicin Based Rubefacients is also a pain reliever. Capsaicin works by desensitizing the nerve endings which reduces pain. Rubefacient increases the blood flow of the affected area to give a warm and soothing feeling.
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the gel. Wash your hands after applying unless hands are the affected area.
