Rasbrate-F Tablet is a combination of two lipids (fat) lowering medicines. It is used to lower the levels of lipids known as cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood when lifestyle changes (eg. low-fat diet) on their own have failed. This medicine helps to reduce the risk of heart disease.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Rasbrate-F Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Rasbrate-F Tablet is a combination of two lipid-lowering medicines: Fenofibrate and Rosuvastatin. Fenofibrate works by lowering the levels of triglycerides in your blood while Rosuvastatin prevents your body from making 'bad' cholesterol (LDL). Both raise the levels of “good” cholesterol (HDL).
Notify your doctor if you experience muscle symptoms (pain or weakness) particularly if accompanied with fever. Notify your doctor if you experience stomach pain, loss of hunger, a sick feeling or dark urine. Do not discontinue Rasbrate-F Tablet without consulting your doctor even if you feel better. Rasbrate-F Tablet contains Rosuvastatin and Fenofibrate. A very rare (1 in 10,000 patients) side effect of this medication is liver damage. Use of this medicine should be avoided in patients with underlying liver disease. If you notice any early signs and symptoms of liver damage, such as fever, rash, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, stomach pain, dark urine, yellow skin or eyes, or abnormal liver enzymes, contact your doctor immediately.
While some patients may experience muscle pain while taking Rasbrate-F Tablet, this is not a common side effect and does not affect everyone. If you are experiencing muscle pain or weakness, speak to your doctor as soon as possible.
Living a healthy lifestyle can improve your overall well-being while on Rasbrate-F Tablet. Quit smoking as it lowers the risk of heart attacks and strokes. If you are overweight or obese, try to lose weight through diet and exercise. Incorporate fresh fruits and vegetables into your daily meals for optimal nutrition. Regular physical activity strengthens your cardiovascular system and reduces the risk of heart attacks.
