Ranitidine (150mg)
Ranila 150mg Tablet reduces stomach acid and treats heartburn, indigestion, and stomach ulcers.
Tablet
Ranila 150mg Tablet is commonly prescribed to prevent stomach ulcers and heartburn, especially those caused by painkillers. It should be taken as prescribed by the doctor, and the dosage depends on the condition being treated. The medicine typically relieves indigestion and heartburn within a few hours and may be taken for a short duration or longer to prevent future problems. Most people do not experience side effects, but common ones include headache, constipation, drowsiness, and diarrhea. Consult your doctor if side effects persist. Inform your doctor about any kidney or liver problems and other medications you are taking. This medicine is generally safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding if prescribed by a doctor. Avoid alcohol as it can worsen symptoms.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it whole without chewing, crushing, or breaking it. Ranila 150mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Ranila 150mg Tablet is a histamine H2 receptor blocker that reduces the amount of acid made in the stomach, relieving acid-related indigestion and heartburn.
If you are also taking other medications to treat acidity (e.g., antacid), take them 2 hours before or after taking Ranila 150mg Tablet. Avoid taking soft drinks and citrus fruits like orange and lemon, which can irritate the stomach and increase acid secretion. Inform your doctor if you do not feel better after taking Ranila 150mg Tablet for 2 weeks as you may be suffering from some other problems. Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney disease as the dose of your medicine may need to be adjusted. Do not stop taking the medication without talking to your doctor.
