Racipro S Sachet is a medicine that contains three active ingredients: Racecadotril, Saccharomyces boulardii, and Lactobacillus. It helps to relieve the symptoms of acute diarrhea in infants and children by reducing the amount of water and salts lost in the stools. This medicine is usually given when fluids and dietary measures fail to prove effective against the symptoms of diarrhea.
Racipro S Sachet should be used together with an oral rehydration solution (ORS) to provide adequate fluid and electrolyte replacement. Give your child plenty of fluids to replenish water and mineral loss.
Racipro S Sachet contains three active ingredients: Racecadotril, Saccharomyces boulardii, and Lactobacillus. Racecadotril has an anti-secretory effect, reducing the secretion of water and electrolytes from the intestine. Saccharomyces boulardii and Lactobacillus are probiotics, promoting the growth of good bacteria in the gut, improving gut health and preventing intestinal infection.

Treatment with Racipro S Sachet should be continued until two normal stools are passed. However, if diarrhea does not get better after seven days of treatment you must talk to the doctor. Make sure neither to extend nor to stop the treatment by yourself without consulting your child’s doctor. Doing so may have side effects or may lead to a recurrence of symptoms.
Racipro S Sachet typically does not enter the central nervous system and lacks the potential for serious side effects such as neurotoxicity. However, children under the age of 2 have underdeveloped membranes, so there is a possibility that the medicine could pass into the brain causing side effects. Therefore, it’s crucial to consult your child’s doctor before giving Racipro S Sachet in such a condition.
No, do not give Racipro S Sachet if your child is experiencing bloody or pus-filled stools along with a high body temperature (fever). These symptoms indicate the presence of an underlying infection and may require alternative treatments.
