Introduction

Rabies is a serious disease caused by a virus. Rabishield 50 Injection is administered when one is bitten by an infected animal. Post-exposure rabies prophylaxis (PEP) is necessary if you are bitten by a dog, cat, or other animals that are rabid or suspected to be infected with the rabies virus. This injection helps prevent rabies infection when used along with other anti-rabies vaccines. It is crucial to seek immediate medical attention after a suspected rabies exposure.

Rabishield 50 Injection contains Rabies monoclonal antibodies produced through recombinant DNA technologies. It works by giving your body the antibodies it needs to protect it against Rabies infection after suspected Rabies exposure.

Rabishield 50 Injection prevents rabies infection when used along with other anti-rabies vaccines. Wash and flush the bite wound with soap and water for at least 15 minutes. Apply an iodine-containing cream (such as betadine) over the wound if available. Visit the nearest healthcare center as soon as possible to receive preventive treatment for rabies. Inform your doctor if you have received any anti-rabies vaccine in the past.
