Directions for Use

Your child should not take more than four doses of this medicine in 24 hours, so wait up to 6 hours between doses. Never give any other medicine formulation containing paracetamol along with this medicine as that may lead to serious side effects.
How it works
Pyristen-Forte Suspension possesses analgesic (pain-reliever) and antipyretic (lowers body temperature) properties. It provides relief by blocking certain chemical messengers and pathways in the brain that send signals about pain and fever.

Frequently asked questions
What is the recommended dosage for Pyristen-Forte Suspension in children?
The commonly recommended dose is 10-15 mg/kg per dose every 4 to 6 hours. It's essential to follow your doctor's instructions regarding how much medicine to give and how often, as this may vary based on the strength of the medicine and the child's age.
When can I expect my child's condition to improve after taking Pyristen-Forte Suspension?
Pyristen-Forte Suspension usually starts working within 30 to 60 minutes of intake, with its peak effect visible within 3 to 4 hours. Your child may start to feel better after a few doses; however, if the pain or fever persists longer, consult your child's doctor immediately.
What should I do if my child vomits after taking Pyristen-Forte Suspension?
If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, repeat the dose again. If it has been more than 30 minutes and your child vomits, wait until it's time for the next scheduled dose; if unsure, consult your doctor.
Can I give Pyristen-Forte Suspension to my child for low-grade fever?
You can administer this medicine if your child has a temperature of 38.3°C (101°F) or higher; however, always try to consult with your child's doctor first.
What should I do if my child's fever persists even after taking Pyristen-Forte Suspension?
If the fever doesn't come down after the initial few doses, it might be an infection caused by a virus or bacteria. It is advised to consult your child's doctor for specific treatment.
How much of Pyristen-Forte Suspension can cause an overdose?
You should only take four doses in 24 hours, with at least a 4-6 hour gap between each dose. Do not take it for more than three days without first talking to your doctor. More than 250 mg/kg can lead to toxicity and potentially fatal consequences. Inform your doctor immediately if you think you have given too much medicine to your child.
Does my child need a special diet while taking Pyristen-Forte Suspension?
Unless instructed by your doctor, your child should maintain a normal balanced diet while continuing this medicine, as lack of nutrition can put them at risk of developing medicinal toxicity.
Where should I store Pyristen-Forte Suspension?
Keep the medicine at room temperature in a dry place beyond the reach of children.
Under what conditions should I use Pyristen-Forte Suspension with caution?
It is advised to use this medicine with caution if the child has malnutrition, G6PD deficiency, liver disease, or any medicinal allergy. Share your child's complete medical history with the doctor to help them decide whether the medicine is safe for your child.
Can I give Pyristen-Forte Suspension on a routine basis when my child is taking a vaccine?
Pyristen-Forte Suspension usually does not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, it's best to let your child recover from the ongoing illness and finish the course of medicine before administering the vaccine.
