Syrup
Pyracron Syrup is a widely prescribed medicine that helps to ease pain and bring down high body temperature (fever). In children, it treats conditions like headache, toothache, body ache, fever, and common cold.
Give Pyracron Syrup to your child with food or milk to prevent an upset stomach. Your child should not take more than four doses of this medicine in 24 hours, so wait up to 6 hours between doses. Never give any other medicine formulation containing paracetamol along with this medicine as that may lead to serious side effects.
Pyracron Syrup possesses analgesic (pain-reliever) and antipyretic (lowers body temperature) properties. It provides relief by blocking certain chemical messengers and pathways in the brain that send signals about pain and fever.
Give Pyracron Syrup to your child with food or milk to prevent an upset stomach. Wait up to 6 hours between doses. Do not give any other medicine formulation containing paracetamol along with this medicine. Inform the doctor if your child has liver disease as the dose may need to be adjusted. If Pyracron Syrup does not seem to be helping your child, contact your doctor for advice. Do not give extra doses.
Always follow your doctor's instructions regarding dosage and frequency for your child. This is determined by the strength of the medicine and their age. You can also find guidance on the medication label or leaflet included with the packaging.
Pyracron Syrup usually starts working within 30 to 60 minutes of ingestion, and its peak effect is achieved in 3 to 4 hours. Your child may start feeling better with a few doses. However, if the pain or fever persists for a longer period, consult your child's doctor immediately.
If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking Pyracron Syrup, administer another dose. If it has been more than 30 minutes since ingestion and your child vomits, no need to repeat the dose; simply wait until their next scheduled dose time. If you are uncertain, consult your doctor.
Pyracron Syrup can be used if your child has a temperature of 38.3°C (101°F) or higher, but always consult with your child's doctor first.
If the fever doesn't decrease after initial doses, it might indicate an underlying infection (viral or bacterial). It is crucial to consult your child's doctor for specific treatment.
You should only take four doses of Pyracron Syrup in a 24-hour period. There needs to be at least a 4-6 hour gap between each dose. Do not use the medicine for more than three days without first talking to your doctor, as exceeding this limit could lead to severe liver and kidney damage. It is imperative to inform your doctor if you believe you or your child may have overdosed.
Unless directed by your child’s doctor, a normal balanced diet is recommended as long as they are taking the medication. This helps prevent nutrient deficiencies and potential complications from medicinal toxicity.
Pyracron Syrup should be used cautiously if your child has malnutrition, G6PD deficiency, liver disease or any known medicinal allergy. It is essential to provide your doctor with your child's complete medical history for informed treatment.
Store this medication at room temperature in a dry location out of reach of children.
Do not administer this medicine with vaccines that cause fever. Studies show using it during or immediately after vaccination might decrease its effectiveness. It's best to speak with your doctor about the best timing for administering both medications.
