Pruderm Cream is a combination of medicines used for topical treatment of bacterial and fungal infections. It kills and stops the growth of fungi and bacteria on the skin. It also reduces redness, swelling, and itchiness in the affected area.
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying unless hands are the affected area.
Minor burning, stinging, or irritation when applied
Pruderm Cream is a combination of steroid, antifungal, and antibacterial medicines. Beclomethasone reduces redness, itching, and swelling by inhibiting the production of certain inflammatory chemicals. Econazole inhibits the production of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane, causing leakage of cellular contents. Neomycin stops bacterial growth by inhibiting the production of essential proteins that are needed by the bacteria to carry out vital functions.
Wash your skin with a mild cleanser and pat it dry before applying Pruderm Cream. Apply Pruderm Cream as a thin layer on a clean, dry, unbroken infected area of skin. Do not share your towel or clothes with anyone and wear clean clothes every day to prevent infection. Pruderm Cream may cause minor burning, stinging, or irritation when applied. Inform your doctor if this does not go away. This medicine may take several weeks to show its action. Keep using it as suggested by your doctor.
