Introduction
Prolyte ORS Powder Refreshing Orange is a WHO-based oral rehydration salt formula containing a combination of dextrose and essential electrolytes like sodium chloride, potassium chloride, and sodium citrate. It helps restore body fluids and electrolytes which get lost due to dehydration caused by diarrhoea, vomiting, muscle cramping, and heat during exercising or hot weather.
Directions for Use
Boil water, let it cool, add 1 teaspoonful of powder in 200 ml (1 glass) of cooled water and stir. Dosage: Depending upon age and severity of dehydration. Infants and children: 1-2 litres (5-10 glasses) over a period of 24 hours. Adults: 2-4 litres (10-20 glasses) over a period of 24 hours.
