Pretibenzyl Lotion may be used alone or with other acne treatments. You should use it as advised by your doctor. Follow the instructions provided in the product leaflet to get the most out of this medicine. Wash and dry the affected area before medicine application. It is usually used once or twice a day. Do not apply it to damaged or broken skin and avoid contact with your mouth, eyes, and nose. It may take several weeks for your symptoms to improve, keep using it as advised. Consult your doctor after a month of regular use of this medicine if your condition is not improving.
This medicine is for external use only. Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Shake it well and apply to the area evenly.
Pretibenzyl Lotion is an organic compound. It has a keratolytic property i.e. it even out the uneven skin. When applied on acne, it releases oxygen which kills the bacteria. This is how it works to cure your acne.
You have been prescribed Pretibenzyl Lotion for the treatment of Acne. Do not apply it on sunburned or damaged skin. Be careful when applying Pretibenzyl Lotion to large areas since it can bleach hair, clothing, and furnishings upon contact. It makes the skin more sensitive towards sunlight. Hence apply it at night time and avoid excessive sun exposure. Use sunscreen and wear protective clothing when outdoors. It may cause skin dryness or stinging sensation. In case you experience excessive irritation or allergy, discontinue the medication and consult your doctor. It may bleach hair and fabrics including clothes so be careful to avoid contact with these. It is a safe medicine but you should tell your doctor if you have other skin conditions and if you are using any other medicines, especially those applied to the skin.
To use Pretibenzyl Lotion, start by removing all makeup from the affected area and washing it with soap and water. Gently pat dry with a towel. Then, using your fingertips, apply a thin layer of Pretibenzyl Lotion to the entire area affected by acne, not just individual spots. Do not wash off after application.
Yes, you can usually leave Pretibenzyl Lotion on for an extended period of time, such as during sleep, unless irritation occurs. If irritation does happen, consult your doctor for advice.
Discontinue use and speak with your doctor if you experience severe local irritation, characterized by redness, dryness, itching, or a stinging/burning sensation on the skin.
When using Pretibenzyl Lotion, keep it away from sensitive areas like your eyes, eyelids, lips, mouth, and the inside of your nose. If accidental contact occurs, flush the affected area with water immediately. Also, avoid applying Pretibenzyl Lotion on scratched or eroded skin and open wounds. Be cautious when using it on sensitive skin areas such as your neck.
Your initial application is typically once daily in the evening. Your doctor may later increase this frequency to twice a day, possibly morning and night, depending on your individual needs.
You might start seeing improvements after 4-6 weeks of treatment. It's normal for acne treatments to take longer to see the full benefits; if you don't experience improvement or your condition worsens, consult your doctor immediately.
It is generally recommended to apply moisturizer about an hour after applying Pretibenzyl Lotion. If you have any doubts or concerns, it's always best to consult with your doctor.
