Pranoflox 50mg Oral Suspension is an antibiotic medicine commonly given to children for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections. It is also part of the multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) treatment regimen. This medicine is used to target the eyes, ears, nose, throat, lungs, skin, and urinary tract.
Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again or cause another infection. Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Pranoflox 50mg Oral Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine.
Pranoflox 50mg Oral Suspension is an antibiotic that interferes with the genetic material of bacteria by implanting defects in its DNA. These defects hamper the multiplication of the bacteria and affect its survival as well. It kills the infection-causing bacteria from growing further and prevents the infection from spreading without making them resistant to further treatment.

However, if you think you have given too much to your child, immediately contact a healthcare professional (doctor or pharmacist). Overdose may cause unwanted side effects such as seizures, tremors, severe headache, sudden weakness, unconsciousness, and palpitations (irregular heartbeat). Seek immediate medical attention for your child if you notice any of these symptoms.
If your child's condition doesn't improve despite completing the prescribed course of Pranoflox 50mg Oral Suspension, it may indicate that the medication is not effective against the bacteria causing their infection. In some cases, the treatment might require intravenous administration (IV) as prescribed by the physician.

However, it's recommended to hold off on vaccination until your child recovers fully from the illness. Once they are feeling better, the doctor can suggest an appropriate time for vaccination.
