It is important to take this medicine regularly as directed by your doctor as missing doses can trigger seizures.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Phenyto S 100mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

An overdose of Phenyto S 100mg Tablet can cause significant side effects, including jerky eye movements (nystagmus), difficulty speaking, loss of balance, tremors, muscle stiffness or weakness, nausea, vomiting, lightheadedness, fainting, blurred vision, slow and shallow breathing, and even coma. Overdose may also lead to very low blood pressure and respiratory problems, potentially resulting in death.
You should avoid taking Phenyto S 100mg Tablet if you have liver disease, especially if you've experienced a history of liver problems from this medication. Additionally, individuals taking Delavirdine (a medicine used to treat HIV) should not use Phenyto S 100mg Tablet as it can reduce the effectiveness of Delavirdine and may lead to drug resistance in the virus. It is advisable to inform your doctor about any existing heart conditions before starting treatment with Phenyto S 100mg Tablet.
Phenyto S 100mg Tablet can be taken alongside ibuprofen. However, you should always consult your doctor before combining any medications to ensure there are no potential interactions.
Common side effects in children include jerky eye movements (nystagmus) and overgrowth of the gums.
