Perivin P 0.05% Nasal Drops is a medicine that helps clear and soothes the blocked nose, thereby relieving nasal congestion due to common cold, hay fever, or other respiratory allergies in children. It is a nasal decongestant that helps in opening up the nasal passages by reducing excessive nasal secretions and also reducing the swelling in the blood vessels in the inner surface of the nose. This provides temporary relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose.
Use Perivin P 0.05% Nasal Drops as directed by your doctor. Do not give more than the recommended dose as it can lead to side effects. Do not use it more than 3 times a day. Prolonged use and abrupt stoppage of Perivin P 0.05% Nasal Drops can lead to complications. Follow the doctor's prescription carefully.

Do not administer Perivin P 0.05% Nasal Drops to your child for more than 10 consecutive days, as this may lead to complications such as "atrophic rhinitis". It is also important to avoid abruptly stopping the medicine as this can cause "rebound congestion" in your child. Please follow the prescribed dosage schedule provided by your doctor.
Overdosing on Perivin P 0.05% Nasal Drops can lead to severe symptoms such as dizziness, perspiration, significant drops in body temperature, headache, bradycardia (slow heart rate), hypertension (high blood pressure), respiratory depression (decreased breathing), coma, and convulsions. In children, toxicity is higher than in adults. If this happens, contact your child’s doctor immediately.
Before using Perivin P 0.05% Nasal Drops, ask your child to clear the nose by gently blowing. Have your child lie down and tilt their head back as far as comfortable, or if lying on a bed, keep the head over the side. Open the cap of the medicine container and without touching the nozzle to the nose, apply the drops into each nostril. Keep the head tilted back for a short period after application for better distribution within the nose. Replace the cap immediately afterwards. If the drops miss the nose entirely, administer the drops again. Do not administer if any part of the drop enters the nose.
Call your child’s doctor immediately if they experience symptoms such as insomnia, dizziness, tremors, irregular heartbeat, or high blood pressure after using Perivin P 0.05% Nasal Drops.
It is important to inform your child’s doctor about any other medications or substances your child is taking before starting Perivin P 0.05% Nasal Drops and confirm if there are any potential interactions or restrictions.
To aid mucus drainage, have your child lie on their back with a pillow. Avoid sleeping on the side as it may increase congestion in one or both nostrils.
