Pentasa 1gm Prolonged Release Granules may also be used to treat another type of bowel disease known as Crohn’s ileocolitis. It should be taken with food. The dose will depend on what you are being treated for but take it exactly as your doctor prescribes. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen.
Directions for Use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Empty the granules in a glass of water/milk, stir it and consume immediately. Pentasa 1gm Prolonged Release Granules may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Inform your doctor if you have severely decreased kidney or liver function. Do not take Pentasa 1gm Prolonged Release Granules if you are allergic to aspirin or if you have blood disorders. Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor.
