It works by decreasing the pain through the modulation of calcium channel activity and increasing the levels of chemical messengers that stop the movement of pain signals in the brain. This medicine may cause side effects such as drowsiness, and it is important to inform your doctor if you are taking any other pain-relieving medicines or have a history of seizures. It is also advised to seek immediate medical help if you experience hallucinations, fever, sweating, shivering, fast heart rate, muscle twitching, or loss of coordination. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Peg NT Lite 50mg/10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Nortriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant which increases the levels of chemical messengers (serotonin and noradrenaline) that stop the movement of pain signals in the brain. Together, they relieve neuropathic pain (pain from damaged nerves).
