Introduction

Pedaflox-OR Oral Suspension Mango & Peppermint is given to children to treat the symptoms of acute diarrhea and dysentery caused due to bacterial infections. It kills the diarrhea-causing microorganism, restores the level of water and electrolytes, and reduces the symptoms, severity, and duration of illness.

Pedaflox-OR Oral Suspension Mango & Peppermint should be used together with an oral rehydration solution (ORS) to provide adequate fluid and electrolyte replacement.

Pedaflox-OR Oral Suspension Mango & Peppermint contains three medicines: Ofloxacin, Ornidazole, and Racecadotril. Together, these ingredients prove effective against diarrhea and dysentery. Racecadotril is an enkephalinase inhibitor that has anti-secretory effects. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and causing infection. Ornidazole is also an antibiotic that kills other microorganisms in addition to bacteria by damaging their DNA.
