Pecob 1500mcg Injection is a form of vitamin B12 that restores its level in the body thereby helping in treating certain anemias and nerve problems. It is used to treat deficiency of vitamin B12 in the body. Vitamin B12 is important for growth, cell reproduction, blood formation, and protein and tissue synthesis. It also helps to treat anemia, fatigue, and numbness or tingling in the hands and feet.

People who follow vegetarian or vegan diets may experience difficulties getting enough vitamin B12, as it is not naturally present in plant-based foods such as fruits, vegetables, and grains. This can lead to a deficiency of vitamin B12.
A deficiency in vitamin B12 may result in symptoms like tiredness, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, megaloblastic anemia (abnormally large red blood cells), numbness and tingling in hands and feet, balance problems, depression, confusion, dementia, poor memory, and sore mouth or tongue.
Pecob 1500mcg Injection is generally well-tolerated and deemed safe. However, rare side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, and rash may occur in some cases. If a rash appears, discontinue the medication immediately.
Pecob 1500mcg Injection can be given via intravenous (into a vein) or intramuscular (into a muscle) injection. The typical dosage is 1 ampoule, which is 0.5 mg of Pecob 1500mcg Injection, administered three times a week for two months. Subsequently, it should be given once every one to three months as part of maintenance therapy.
When giving injections, avoid using the same site repeatedly. If intense pain occurs or if blood flows back into the syringe during injection, remove the needle and reinsert at a different location.
