Syrup
Paralife Syrup is a widely prescribed medicine that helps to ease pain and bring down high body temperature (fever). In children, it treats conditions like headache, toothache, body ache, fever, and common cold.
Give Paralife Syrup to your child with food or milk to prevent an upset stomach. Your child should not take more than four doses of this medicine in 24 hours, so wait up to 6 hours between doses. Never give any other medicine formulation containing paracetamol along with this medicine as that may lead to serious side effects. Inform the doctor if your child has liver disease as the dose may need to be adjusted. If Paralife Syrup does not seem to be helping your child, contact your doctor for advice. Do not give extra doses.
Paralife Syrup possesses analgesic (pain-reliever) and antipyretic (lowers body temperature) properties. It provides relief by blocking certain chemical messengers and pathways in the brain that send signals about pain and fever.

Always follow your doctor's instructions regarding dosage and frequency. The appropriate dose depends on the medication strength and age of your child. Refer to the label or leaflet within the packaging for specific instructions before use. Typically, a dose range of 10-15 mg/kg per dose every 4 to 6 hours is recommended. If you are unsure about the correct dosage, consult your child's healthcare professional.
Paralife Syrup typically begins working within 30 to 60 minutes of administration and exhibits peak effect within 3 to 4 hours. Your child might start feeling better after a few doses. If pain or fever persist beyond this timeframe, seek immediate guidance from your child's healthcare professional.
If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking Paralife Syrup, repeat the dose. If it has been more than 30 minutes since taking Paralife Syrup and your child vomits, no need to repeat the dose, simply wait for the next scheduled dose. If unsure, consult with your doctor.
You can use this medicine if your child's temperature reaches 38.3°C (101°F) or higher. However, it is always advisable to consult with your doctor before using the medication.
If the fever doesn't decrease after initial doses, the underlying cause might be an infection (viral or bacterial). It is recommended to seek guidance from your child's healthcare professional for appropriate treatment.
Do not exceed four doses of Paralife Syrup within 24 hours. Ensure there is a minimum of 4-6 hour interval between each dose. Never administer this medicine for more than three days without consulting your doctor. Exceeding the recommended dosage may lead to toxicity and potentially fatal consequences due to liver or kidney damage, so consult your doctor immediately if you suspect an overdose.
Unless advised by your doctor, maintain a normal, balanced diet throughout the duration of medication. Nutritional deficiencies can increase the risk of toxicity.
Paralife Syrup should be used with caution if your child has any medical condition such as malnutrition, G6PD deficiency, liver disease, or known allergies to medications. Ensure you inform your doctor of your child's complete medical history before administering this medicine.
Store Paralife Syrup at room temperature in a dry, safe location, out of the reach of children and pets.
It's not recommended to administer Paralife Syrup with vaccines that lead to fever. Studies have shown it can reduce the vaccine's effectiveness.
