How it works
P-Cob GP Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Gabapentin and Methylcobalamin. Gabapentin is an alpha 2 delta ligand which decreases pain by modulating calcium channel activity of the nerve cells. Methylcobalamin is a form of vitamin B which helps in the production of myelin, a substance that protects nerve fibers and rejuvenates damaged nerve cells. Together, they relieve neuropathic pain (pain from damaged nerves).

Frequently asked questions
What is P-Cob GP Tablet?
P-Cob GP Tablet is a combination of Gabapentin and Methylcobalamin. This medication is used to treat pain due to nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy). It works by regenerating damaged nerves in the body and reducing pain sensation.
What is peripheral neuropathy?
Peripheral nerves in the extremities, such as the nerves in your toes or fingertips, are called peripheral nerves. Peripheral neuropathy occurs when one or more of these nerves are damaged. These nerves carry signals from the brain and spinal cord to the rest of your body. Damage to these nerves interrupts communication between your central and peripheral nervous systems.
Can I stop taking P-Cob GP Tablet once my pain is relieved?
No, continue taking P-Cob GP Tablet as prescribed for the full duration. Your symptoms may improve before complete nerve regeneration and healing occurs.
Can P-Cob GP Tablet cause sleepiness?
Yes, drowsiness is a common side effect of P-Cob GP Tablet. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you understand the full effects of this medication on your alertness. Do not consume alcohol while taking this medication as it can exacerbate sleepiness and potentially lead to falls or accidents.
Can I take a higher dose than recommended for P-Cob GP Tablet?
No, exceeding the prescribed dosage of P-Cob GP Tablet can increase the risk of side effects and toxicity. If your symptoms are not improving or worsening after taking the recommended dose, please consult your doctor for further assessment.
