Introduction
Ourxime-O Dry Syrup is an antibiotic medicine that treats bacterial infections that may affect your child's eyes, ears, nose, throat, lungs, skin, bone and joints, gastrointestinal tract, and urinary tract. It can also be used in treating typhoid fever in children and adolescents.
Directions for Use
Give this medicine with food to avoid an upset stomach. Encourage your child to drink plenty of water in case diarrhea develops as a side effect. Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Ourxime-O Dry Syrup as these can affect the absorption of the medicine.
How it works
Ourxime-O Dry Syrup contains two antibiotics. Cefixime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) while ofloxacin directly interacts with the genetic material of bacteria. As a consequence, the infection-causing bacteria stop growing further and the spread of the infection is successfully arrested.
Quick Tips
Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again or become resistant or cause another infection. Do not give this medicine for viral infections such as common cold and flu. Only give Ourxime-O Dry Syrup to your child for their current infection. Never save medicine for future illnesses. Stop this medicine and immediately report to your child's doctor in case your child develops an itchy rash, facial swelling, or breathing difficulties while taking this medicine.

Are there any serious potential side effects associated with Ourxime-O Dry Syrup?
Some serious possible side effects of Ourxime-O Dry Syrup include persistent vomiting, kidney damage, allergy, diarrhea, and severe gastrointestinal infections. In such situations, it's crucial to seek guidance from your child's doctor.
Can other medications be taken in conjunction with Ourxime-O Dry Syrup?

Can my child receive vaccinations while on Ourxime-O Dry Syrup?
Typically, antibiotics like Ourxime-O Dry Syrup do not interfere with vaccines or cause adverse reactions in children who have recently been vaccinated. However, it's recommended to wait until your child has recovered from the illness before getting vaccinated.
