Otriczol Ear Drop is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. This medicine should be used regularly to get the most benefit from it. You can help the medicine work better by keeping the affected areas clean, making sure they are dry, and washing your hands before and after treating the infection. It may cause burning, irritation, itching, and redness immediately following application. However, these side effects are temporary and usually subside on their own. Inform your doctor if they persist for a longer duration.

Otriczol Ear Drop is a combination of two medicines: Lidocaine and Clotrimazole. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic which works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain, thereby decreasing pain sensation in the ear. Clotrimazole is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi in the ear by preventing them from forming their own protective covering.
Put drops in the ear without touching the dropper to the ear. Stay on the side for 2 minutes or put a cotton plug in the ear. Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the drop in these areas. Do not try to clean inside your ear with cotton buds. Do not use the medicine for a longer time without doctor consultation. Make sure not to use the open bottle more than 4 weeks.
Use of Otriczol Ear Drop should be avoided in patients with known allergy to its components or any of its other excipients.
Keep Otriczol Ear Drop in the container or the pack it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Keep it away from children and other people.
If Otriczol Ear Drop is accidentally swallowed, rinse your mouth with water immediately. If it goes accidentally into the eyes, wash with water. In any of the cases, do inform your doctor.
