Otflox 50mg Oral Suspension is an antibiotic medicine commonly given to children for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections. It is also part of the multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) treatment regimen. This medicine is used to target the eyes, ears, nose, throat, lungs, skin, and urinary tract.
Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again or cause another infection.
Otflox 50mg Oral Suspension is an antibiotic that interferes with the genetic material of bacteria by implanting defects in its DNA. This hampers the multiplication of the bacteria and affects its survival, killing the infection-causing bacteria and preventing the infection from spreading without making them resistant to further treatment.

Seek medical attention for your child without delay if you notice any of these symptoms.
If your child doesn't show improvement after taking Otflox 50mg Oral Suspension for the full duration, it might indicate that the medicine isn't effective against the bacteria causing the infection. In such a case, consult your doctor who may prescribe another antibiotic tailored to combat the specific bacteria. Antibiotics generally do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a negative reaction in children who have just received one. However, it is advisable to hold off on vaccinations until your child has fully recovered from their illness. As soon as they recover, you can schedule the vaccination with your doctor's guidance.
