Osmitol Syrup is a type of sugar that is used to treat constipation. It works by drawing water into the intestine, which makes the stool softer and easier to pass. It may also be used in the treatment and prevention of hepatic encephalopathy.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Osmitol Syrup may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
