Orthomex MR Tablet is a combination of a muscle relaxant (Chlorzoxazone) and two pain relieving medicines (Diclofenac and Paracetamol). The muscle relaxant works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm, thereby improving movement of muscles. The pain relieving medicines work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation.

Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Orthomex MR Tablet as it may cause excessive drowsiness and increase the risk of liver damage. Older adults may have increased drowsiness, confusion, and higher risk of falling as a result of taking Orthomex MR Tablet. Orthomex MR Tablet is generally considered safe for most patients, but some may experience common side effects like nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, dry mouth, weakness, sleepiness, and other rare or uncommon side effects. It's important to inform your doctor immediately if you experience persistent problems after taking this medication.
It’s advisable to continue taking Orthomex MR Tablet as directed by your doctor, unless it's for a short-term pain relief period. It should only be stopped under the guidance of your doctor.
