Frequently asked questions
What happens if I accidentally give my child too much Orixa Suspension?
Giving an extra dose of Orixa Suspension by mistake is unlikely to cause harm. However, if you suspect that your child has taken more than the recommended dose, speak to a doctor right away. Overdosing on Orixa Suspension may lead to severe side effects such as seizures, tremors, severe headaches, sudden weakness, unconsciousness, and irregular heartbeats. If you notice any of these symptoms, rush to the doctor immediately.
Why isn't my child showing improvement after taking Orixa Suspension for the prescribed duration?
If your child's condition doesn't improve with Orixa Suspension as directed, it might mean that the medicine is not effective against the bacteria causing the infection. In this case, consult the doctor who may prescribe a different antibiotic or treatment approach that better addresses the specific situation.
Can other medicines be taken at the same time as Orixa Suspension?
Orixa Suspension can interact with other medications or substances. Inform your child's doctor about any other medications they're taking before starting Orixa Suspension and also check with them before giving any additional medicine to your child.
Can my child get vaccinated while on treatment with Orixa Suspension?
Generally, antibiotics like Orixa Suspension do not interfere with vaccine ingredients or cause adverse reactions in children who have just been vaccinated. However, it's recommended that children taking antibiotics wait until they recover from their illness before getting vaccinated.
What should I tell the doctor before giving Orixa Suspension to my child?
Inform the doctor if your child has a history of heart disease, genetic disorders affecting blood vessels, seizures, psychiatric disorders, diabetes, photoallergy, neuromuscular disorders, or rheumatoid arthritis. This is because Orixa Suspension may exacerbate these conditions and lead to complications.
