Does OMIHIK 20mg Tablet cause vitamin deficiencies?
It can lead to vitamin B12 deficiency. When taken orally, vitamin B12 requires an acidic environment for absorption from the stomach while this medication causes a decrease in gastric acid secretion. You may need to take vitamin B12 supplements alongside it. The clinical significance of decreased Vitamin C levels is unknown, so vitamin C supplementation is not recommended.
