Omekal 40mg Injection is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach. It is used to treat acid-related diseases of the stomach and intestine such as acid reflux, peptic ulcer disease, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It is also used to prevent stress ulcers in seriously ill patients and is administered before anesthetic medication to help prevent aspiration-related complications.

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Omekal 40mg Injection.
Omekal 40mg Injection is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Omekal 40mg Injection is safe to use during pregnancy. Most studies have shown low or no risk to the developing baby.

Avoid excessive intake of carbonated beverages/soft drinks Avoid citrus juices Avoid fried food Avoid caffeinated beverages like tea and coffee Avoid alcohol and smoking Avoid eating late at night or before bedtime Inform your doctor if you get watery diarrhea, fever or stomach pain that does not go away Inform your doctor if you do not feel better after taking it for 14 days Do not stop taking medication without talking to your doctor Consult your doctor right away if you develop decreased urination, edema, lower back pain, nausea, fatigue, and rash or fever
