Olit 10mg Capsule can lead to osteoporosis (thinning of bones) as it decreases calcium absorption, potentially causing calcium deficiency. This increased risk of bone fractures in long-term users is found especially in the hip, wrist, or spine, making regular monitoring essential by the doctor. Your doctor may recommend calcium or vitamin D supplements to mitigate this risk.
Long-term use for more than three months can lead to various side effects, including: - Low magnesium levels (causing fatigue, confusion, dizziness, shakiness) - Muscle twitches or irregular heartbeat. - In severe cases (over a year), an increased risk of bone fractures due to decreased calcium levels is observed in the hip, wrist and spine. Stomach infections, and vitamin B12 deficiency can also occur. Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to anemia, resulting in fatigue, weakness, or paleness. Additionally, palpitations, shortness of breath, lightheadedness, indigestion, loss of appetite, flatulence (gas), and nerve problems like numbness, tingling, and difficulty walking are possible side effects.
Olit 10mg Capsule can potentially cause vitamin B12 and vitamin C deficiency. It reduces gastric acid secretion in the stomach, which is needed for optimal Vitamin B12 absorption. Regular vitamin B12 supplementation may be necessary. The clinical significance of vitamin C depletion with Olit 10mg Capsule is not yet fully understood.
Patients with heart conditions can utilize Olit 10mg Capsule as prescribed by their doctor. However, it is crucial to consult a doctor regarding potential interactions with medications like clopidogrel and digoxin, which are commonly used by cardiac patients.
