Olisur 5mg Tablet works well in schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. It is less likely to cause heart and movement problems as compared to other similar medicines. It may take 4 to 6 weeks to see full effects on thoughts and mood. Keep taking it as prescribed. Use caution while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as Olisur 5mg Tablet can cause dizziness and sleepiness. It may increase your weight, blood sugar and cholesterol. Eat healthy, exercise regularly and monitor your blood levels regularly. To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down. Do not stop taking Olisur 5mg Tablet without talking to your doctor first as it may cause worsening of symptoms.
Olisur 5mg Tablet is not approved for the treatment of anxiety. While it has been studied in this context, results have not shown consistent effectiveness. It can be used in conjunction with other anxiolytic medications to potentially improve outcomes in patients with anxiety disorders.
No, Olisur 5mg Tablet is not a sleep aid. It belongs to the atypical antipsychotic class of medications and is prescribed for treating schizophrenia. Schizophrenia involves distorted thinking patterns, loss of interest in life, and extreme emotional shifts. Olisur 5mg Tablet can also help manage bipolar disorder (manic depressive disorder), which causes periods of depression, mania, and other mood swings.
Initial improvement with Olisur 5mg Tablet may begin within 1-2 weeks. However, achieving full benefits can take 4-6 weeks. Please continue taking the medication and consult your doctor if you do not see improvement.
Olisur 5mg Tablet may cause serious side effects, including a heightened risk of death in individuals with dementia who experience confusion, memory loss, and significant disorientation. It can also increase blood sugar levels in people with diabetes or those without prior diabetes. Additionally, it can cause weight gain and high levels of fat in the blood, which is more common in teenagers.
Olisur 5mg Tablet should only be prescribed if the potential benefits outweigh the risks. Using Olisur 5mg Tablet during the last three months of pregnancy can potentially cause undesired effects on the developing baby, including shaking, muscle stiffness and weakness, sleepiness, agitation, breathing difficulties, and feeding problems.
You should not discontinue Olisur 5mg Tablet without consulting your doctor. Sudden discontinuation may cause unpleasant side effects like sweating, insomnia, tremors, anxiety, and nausea. Your doctor will gradually reduce the dose to minimize these effects during the discontinuation process.
Smoking can increase the metabolism of Olisur 5mg Tablet. Avoiding alcohol when taking Olisur 5mg Tablet is also important, as it may cause drowsiness. If you smoke, your doctor may adjust your dosage based on your response to treatment.
