Introduction

Ofzorix OR Oral Suspension is given to children to treat the symptoms of acute diarrhea and dysentery caused due to bacterial infections. It kills the diarrhea-causing microorganism, restores the level of water and electrolytes, and reduces the symptoms, severity, and duration of illness.

Ofzorix OR Oral Suspension should be used together with an oral rehydration solution (ORS) to provide adequate fluid and electrolyte replacement. Give your child plenty of fluids to replenish water and mineral loss.

Ofzorix OR Oral Suspension contains three medicines: Ofloxacin, Ornidazole, and Racecadotril. Together, these ingredients prove effective against diarrhea and dysentery. Racecadotril is an enkephalinase inhibitor that has anti-secretory effects, reducing the secretion of water and electrolytes from the intestine. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and causing infection. Ornidazole is also an antibiotic that kills other microorganisms in addition to bacteria by damaging their DNA.

Use Ofzorix OR Oral Suspension together with an oral rehydration solution (ORS) to provide adequate fluid and electrolyte replacement. Give your child plenty of fluids to replenish water and mineral loss. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help if Ofzorix OR Oral Suspension causes an altered taste. Do not mix Ofzorix OR Oral Suspension with any other herbal or ayurvedic medicine as it can harm. Do not give Ofzorix OR Oral Suspension if your child has persistent uncontrolled vomiting as this medicine will not be absorbed.
