Oftic R Oral Suspension is usually given to children to treat acute diarrhea caused due to bacterial infections. It helps relieve the symptoms, severity, and duration of illness by killing the diarrhea-causing microorganism and reducing the loss of water and electrolytes.
Directions for Use
Give Oftic R Oral Suspension only for whom it is prescribed. Never share the medicines as it can harm. Do not mix Oftic R Oral Suspension along with any other herbal or ayurvedic medicine as that may cause unwanted side effects.
How it works
Oftic R Oral Suspension contains two medicines: Racecadotril and ofloxacin. Racecadotril is an enkephalinase inhibitor that reduces the secretion of water and electrolytes from the intestine, while Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and causing infection.

Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Oftic R Oral Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine. Give Oftic R Oral Suspension only for whom it is prescribed. Never share the medicines as it can harm. Do not mix Oftic R Oral Suspension along with any other herbal or ayurvedic medicine as that may cause unwanted side effects. Do not give Oftic R Oral Suspension if your child has persistent uncontrolled vomiting as this medicine will not be absorbed.
