Introduction

Ofsure OZ Oral Suspension is given to children to treat the symptoms of acute diarrhea and dysentery caused due to bacterial infections. It kills the diarrhea-causing microorganism, restores the level of water and electrolytes, and reduces the symptoms, severity, and duration of illness.

Ofsure OZ Oral Suspension should be used together with an oral rehydration solution (ORS) to provide adequate fluid and electrolyte replacement.

Ofsure OZ Oral Suspension contains three medicines - Ofloxacin, Ornidazole, and Racecadotril. Together, these ingredients prove effective against diarrhea and dysentery. Racecadotril is an enkephalinase inhibitor that has anti-secretory effects, reducing the secretion of water and electrolytes from the intestine. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and causing infection. Ornidazole is also an antibiotic that kills other microorganisms in addition to bacteria by damaging their DNA.

Should be used together with an oral rehydration solution (ORS) to provide adequate fluid and electrolyte replacement. May help replenish water and mineral loss by giving your child plenty of fluids. May help alleviate altered taste by eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice. Should not be mixed with any other herbal or ayurvedic medicine as it can harm. Should not be given if your child has persistent uncontrolled vomiting as this medicine will not be absorbed.
