Introduction

Oflopride Forte Oral Suspension is given to children to treat the symptoms of acute diarrhea and dysentery caused due to bacterial infections. It kills the diarrhea-causing microorganism, restores the level of water and electrolytes, and reduces the symptoms, severity, and duration of illness.

Oflopride Forte Oral Suspension should be used together with an oral rehydration solution (ORS) to provide adequate fluid and electrolyte replacement. Give your child plenty of fluids to replenish water and mineral loss.

Oflopride Forte Oral Suspension contains three medicines: Ofloxacin, Ornidazole, and Racecadotril. Together, these ingredients prove effective against diarrhea and dysentery. Racecadotril is an enkephalinase inhibitor that reduces the secretion of water and electrolytes from the intestine. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and causing infection. Ornidazole is also an antibiotic that kills other microorganisms in addition to bacteria by damaging their DNA.

Use Oflopride Forte Oral Suspension together with an oral rehydration solution (ORS) to provide adequate fluid and electrolyte replacement. Give your child plenty of fluids to replenish water and mineral loss. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help if Oflopride Forte Oral Suspension causes an altered taste. Do not mix Oflopride Forte Oral Suspension with any other herbal or ayurvedic medicine as it can harm. Do not give Oflopride Forte Oral Suspension if your child has persistent uncontrolled vomiting as this medicine will not be absorbed.
