Introduction
Oflonem Plus Oral Suspension is given to children to treat the symptoms of acute diarrhea and dysentery caused due to bacterial infections. It kills the diarrhea-causing microorganism, restores the level of water and electrolytes, and reduces the symptoms, severity, and duration of illness.
Directions for Use
Oflonem Plus Oral Suspension should be used together with an oral rehydration solution (ORS) to provide adequate fluid and electrolyte replacement.

How it works
Oflonem Plus Oral Suspension contains three medicines Ofloxacin, Ornidazole, and Racecadotril. Together, these ingredients prove effective against diarrhea and dysentery. Racecadotril is an enkephalinase inhibitor that has anti-secretory effects. This helps reduce the amount of fluid lost from the body in diarrhea. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and causing infection. Ornidazole is also an antibiotic that kills other microorganisms in addition to bacteria by damaging their DNA.

Oflonem Plus Oral Suspension should be used together with an oral rehydration solution (ORS) to provide adequate fluid and electrolyte replacement. Give your child plenty of fluids to replenish water and mineral loss. Oflonem Plus Oral Suspension may cause an altered taste. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help. Do not mix Oflonem Plus Oral Suspension along with any other herbal or ayurvedic medicine as it can harm. Do not give Oflonem Plus Oral Suspension if your child has persistent uncontrolled vomiting as this medicine will not be absorbed.
