How it works

Oflawok R Oral Suspension contains two medicines: Racecadotril and ofloxacin. Racecadotril is an enkephalinase inhibitor that has anti-secretory effects, reducing the secretion of water and electrolytes from the intestine. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and causing infection.

Quick Tips

Loose, watery diarrhea can lead to loss of fluids and essential salts from your child's body. Make sure to replenish this in the form of ORS (Oral rehydration solution) to combat dehydration. Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Oflawok R Oral Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine. Give Oflawok R Oral Suspension only for whom it is prescribed. Never share the medicines as it can harm. Do not mix Oflawok R Oral Suspension along with any other herbal or ayurvedic medicine as that may cause unwanted side effects. Do not give Oflawok R Oral Suspension if your child has persistent uncontrolled vomiting as this medicine will not be absorbed.
