Oral Suspension
Offlix 50mg Oral Suspension is an antibiotic medicine commonly prescribed for children to treat various bacterial infections. It targets infections in the eyes, ears, nose, throat, lungs, skin, and urinary tract. Additionally, it is part of the treatment regimen for multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB). It is crucial to complete the entire course of antibiotics to prevent bacteria from multiplying again, becoming resistant, or causing another infection. Offlix 50mg Oral Suspension should not be used for viral infections like the common cold or flu. Side effects may include rash, itchy skin, swelling of the face and mouth, or difficulty breathing, in which case immediate medical attention is required.
Administer the prescribed dose of Offlix 50mg Oral Suspension to your child as directed by the doctor. Ensure the child completes the entire course of antibiotics.
Offlix 50mg Oral Suspension is an antibiotic that interferes with the genetic material of bacteria by implanting defects in its DNA. These defects hamper the multiplication of the bacteria and affect its survival, thereby killing the infection-causing bacteria and preventing the infection from spreading.
Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again, become resistant, or cause another infection. Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Offlix 50mg Oral Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine. Encourage your child to drink plenty of water in case diarrhea develops as a side effect. Conditions like common cold and flu are caused by viruses. Never use this medicine for such conditions. Discontinue Offlix 50mg Oral Suspension and inform the doctor immediately if your child develops a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or has difficulty in breathing. Only give Offlix 50mg Oral Suspension to your child for their current infection. Never save medicine for future illnesses.
