What is Nurux 2500mcg Injection?
Nurux 2500mcg Injection contains vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient required by the body for making red blood cells and maintaining a healthy nervous system. It also helps release energy from food and use vitamin B11 (folic acid).
Why can't I get sufficient vitamin B12 in my diet?
You may not get enough vitamin B12 from your diet if you are vegetarian or vegan. This is because vitamin B12 is not naturally found in many plant-based foods, like fruits, vegetables and grains.
What happens if I have vitamin B12 deficiency?
Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause tiredness, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (an abnormal red blood cell condition). It may also lead to nerve problems, such as numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. Other symptoms include balance problems, depression, confusion, dementia, poor memory, and soreness of the mouth or tongue.
Is Nurux 2500mcg Injection safe?
Nurux 2500mcg Injection is generally well-tolerated and considered safe. However, some rare side effects may occur like nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, or rash. If you experience a rash, stop taking the medicine immediately.

After 2 months, 1 ampoule (0.5 mg of Nurux 2500mcg Injection) is given every one to three months as part of maintenance therapy.
What precautions need to be taken while administering Nurux 2500mcg Injection?
Do not inject the medicine at the same site every time. If you experience intense pain during injection, remove the needle and try injecting at a different location.
