What is Nuromk-OD Injection?
Nuromk-OD Injection is a formulation of vitamin B12, an essential nutrient that plays a crucial role in producing red blood cells and maintaining a healthy nervous system. It also helps to release energy from food and utilize vitamin B11 (folic acid).
Why can't individuals obtain sufficient vitamin B12 through their diet?
While vitamin B12 can be obtained from sources such as meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products, people who follow a vegetarian or vegan diet may not get enough of this nutrient. Vitamin B12 is not naturally found in foods like fruits, vegetables, and grains.
What are the potential consequences of vitamin B12 deficiency?
A deficiency in vitamin B12 can lead to various health issues, including tiredness, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, megaloblastic anemia (a condition where red blood cells become larger than normal), and nerve problems such as numbness and tingling in the hands and feet. Other symptoms may include problems with balance, depression, confusion, dementia, poor memory, and soreness of the mouth or tongue.
Is Nuromk-OD Injection considered safe?
Nuromk-OD Injection is generally well-tolerated and considered safe. However, in rare cases, side effects may occur such as nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, and rash. If a rash appears, discontinue use of the medicine immediately.
How should Nuromk-OD Injection be administered?
Nuromk-OD Injection can be injected directly into a vein (intravenously) or into a muscle (intramuscularly). The typical dose is 1 ampoule (0.5 mg of Nuromk-OD Injection), which should be given three times a week for two months, followed by 1 ampoule every one to three months as part of maintenance therapy.
What precautions need to be taken while administering Nuromk-OD Injection?
