Frequently asked questions
What is Nuroloc 1500 Injection?
Nuroloc 1500 Injection provides vitamin B12, an essential nutrient for red blood cell production and healthy nervous system function. It also plays a role in energy metabolism and the utilization of vitamin B11 (folate).
Why might I experience difficulties obtaining sufficient Vitamin B12 from my diet?
Individuals who follow plant-based diets may be at risk for vitamin B12 deficiency. This is because vitamin B12 is not naturally found in fruits, vegetables, or grains. However, various foods like meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products provide ample amounts of Vitamin B12.
What happens if I have a Vitamin B12 deficiency?
Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, unexplained weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (abnormally large red blood cells). This condition may also lead to nerve problems such as numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. Other potential symptoms include difficulties with balance, depression, confusion, dementia, poor memory, dry mouth or tongue.
Is Nuroloc 1500 Injection safe for use?
Nuroloc 1500 Injection is generally well-tolerated and considered safe. However, rare adverse effects may occur, such as nausea, diarrhea, loss of appetite, and rash. Discontinue taking this medication immediately if a rash develops.
How should Nuroloc 1500 Injection be administered?
Nuroloc 1500 Injection can be administered intravenously (directly into a vein) or intramuscularly (into a muscle). The usual dose is 0.5 mg, provided three times per week. After two months, the dosage becomes 0.5 mg every one to three months for maintenance therapy.
What precautions should be taken when administering Nuroloc 1500 Injection?
Avoid injecting at the same site repeatedly. If experiencing intense pain during injection or if blood flows back into the syringe, remove the needle and re-insert at a different location.
