Introduction

Nukast AB Tablet SR is a combination of two medicines: Acebrophylline and montelukast. It helps prevent and treat asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD) by relaxing the muscles of the air passages and making it easier to breathe. It is also used to treat bronchitis. It is important to take this medicine as directed by your doctor and to not discontinue use without consulting your doctor even if you feel better.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Nukast AB Tablet SR may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Nukast AB Tablet SR is a combination of two medicines: Acebrophylline and montelukast. Acebrophylline is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm) making it easier to cough out. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist that works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways and nose to prevent asthma and relieve symptoms of allergies.
