Nuhist Syrup is a combination of four medicines: Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Phenylephrine, Paracetamol, and Sodium Citrate. It relieves symptoms such as runny nose, cough, sneezing, watery eyes, sore throat, body ache, and fever. This medication is commonly prescribed in children to treat these symptoms.

Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic that relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and an antipyretic (fever reducer). Sodium citrate is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus making it easier to cough out.

Giving an overdose of Nuhist Syrup can lead to serious side effects, including seizures, rapid heart rate, depression, cognition defects, and inability to concentrate. Always use the calibrated cup provided with the medicine to ensure the correct dose. Do not use a kitchen teaspoon as it may not provide the accurate measurement.
It is essential to inform your doctor about any other medicines your child is taking before starting Nuhist Syrup. Additionally, consult with your child's doctor before giving any medicine to your child, as Nuhist Syrup may interact with other substances.
