Nasal Drops
Nozek P 0.05% Nasal Drops is a nasal decongestant that helps in opening up the nasal passages by reducing excessive nasal secretions and also reducing the swelling in the blood vessels in the inner surface of the nose. This provides temporary relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose.
Do check the medicine's 'expiry' date before using it. Do not give more than the recommended dose as it can lead to side effects. Do not use it more than 3 times a day. Prolonged use and abrupt stoppage of Nozek P 0.05% Nasal Drops can lead to complications. Follow the doctor's prescription carefully. One container of Nozek P 0.05% Nasal Drops should only be used only by one person. This is to avoid spreading infection from one person to another. Do not share the same medicine with others. Encourage your child to inhale the steam as it may help relieve symptoms.
No common side effects listed.

Do not administer Nozek P 0.05% Nasal Drops to your child for longer than 10 consecutive days as it may lead to complications, such as "atrophic rhinitis". Additionally, avoid abruptly stopping the medication, as this can cause "rebound congestion" in your child. Therefore, follow the prescribed dosage schedule precisely.
An overdose of Nozek P 0.05% Nasal Drops can lead to severe dizziness, excessive sweating, a drop in body temperature, headaches, bradycardia (slow heart rate), hypertension (high blood pressure), respiratory depression (breathing difficulties), coma, and convulsions. It may even trigger high blood pressure followed by low blood pressure. Since children are more sensitive to medication toxicity than adults, contact your child's doctor immediately if this occurs.
Before applying Nozek P 0.05% Nasal Drops: First, ask your child to clear their nose by blowing gently. Then, have them lie down and raise their head slightly (looking up or tilting the head back in a comfortable position). For children on a bed, ensure their head is over the side. Open the medicine bottle's cap and avoid touching the nozzle to the nose. Apply the drops into each nostril without direct contact with the nozzle. Hold the child’s head tilted back for a short period, allowing the drops to spread throughout the nose. After use, replace the cap right away. If the entire drop misses the nose, administer it again. If any part of the drop enters the nose, do not repeat administration. Repeat on the other nostril. Before replacing the cap, clean and dry the nozzle. To avoid potential infection spread, only one person should use this bottle.
Contact your child's doctor if they experience symptoms such as insomnia, dizziness, tremors, irregular heartbeat, or elevated blood pressure after taking Nozek P 0.05% Nasal Drops.
It's best to inform your child’s doctor about any other medicines or substances your child is taking before starting Nozek P 0.05% Nasal Drops. Additionally, consult your child's doctor before administering any medication to your child.
To alleviate a stuffy nose, have your child lie on their back with a pillow to assist mucus drainage. Avoid sleeping the child on their side as it may intensify congestion in one or both nostrils.
