How it works

Normaxin Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Clidinium, Chlordiazepoxide, and Dicyclomine. Clidinium and Dicyclomine are antispasmodics which work by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). They stop sudden muscle contractions (spasms), relieving cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of GABA, a chemical messenger which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

Quick Tips

Normaxin Tablet is prescribed to give relief from the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome. Inform your doctor if you have an enlarged prostate gland, glaucoma, or trouble passing urine. If you are 65 or older, use Normaxin Tablet with care. You could have more side effects. If you develop any new symptoms, or if your symptoms get worse, make an appointment to see your doctor for further advice. Please tell the doctor carrying out any operation or dental treatment that you are taking Normaxin Tablet as it increases the effects of some anesthetics.
